Professor Adebayo Otitoloju is an accomplished environmental management expert, business leader, consultant, and public policy advocate with over three decades of experience providing strategic solutions to environmental and infrastructure challenges across Nigeria and beyond. He has built an outstanding reputation as a trusted adviser to government institutions, multinational corporations, financial institutions, and development organisations on environmental compliance, sustainability, environmental impact assessment, and risk management.

His extensive consulting experience covers major infrastructure and industrial projects, including railway developments, seaport expansion, highway construction, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants, and oil and gas operations. Professor Otitoloju has held several executive leadership positions, including Managing Director of Unilag Consult Limited, where he successfully led multidisciplinary consultancy services, negotiated and delivered high-value projects, and developed professional training programmes for both public and private sector organisations.

He also served as Senior Research Adviser to the Corporate Environment Department of Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, providing strategic environmental advisory services to one of Africa's leading energy companies. Beyond environmental consulting, he has demonstrated remarkable entrepreneurial and corporate governance expertise by contributing to the establishment and management of companies in marine transportation, boat manufacturing, hospitality, and environmental consultancy. As an academic, he has 179 publications, composed of 98 articles in international and national peer reviewed journals, 3 books, 4 monographs, 12 conference papers and 65 commissioned works and contributions to environmental assessment reports.

He is a committed academic mentor and has successfully supervised and graduated twenty (20) PhD candidates. His research areas of focus include heavy metals monitoring and biological effects; crude oil effects and loss of bioactivity; effects of pesticides on target and non-target organisms; genotoxic effects of pollutants; and N-terminal sequence analysis and identification of genes responsible for heavy metal resistance. He was a recipient of the 2004 Development Co-Operation Prize by the Belgian Government and the World Laboratory Fellowship by the ICSC Switzerland.

Through SETPOM, Professor Otitoloju continues to champion partnerships between government, industry, academia, and civil society to promote sustainable development, pollution mitigation, and responsible environmental stewardship. His blend of executive leadership, consulting expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and commitment to national development has established him as one of Nigeria's foremost voices on environmental sustainability and strategic infrastructure development.

Dr. Olamide Florence Humphrey, the General Secretary of SETPOM, is a Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at Mountain Top University, Ogun State, Nigeria. Her research focuses on environmental management, agricultural safety, and renewable energy.
